Lil Dicky Explains Why He's One Of The Best Rappers Alive

Lil Dicky hasn't dropped music in a minute.

Instead, he's been focusing on his sitcom Dave.

But he has some songs in the vault and he's convinced that when he starts releasing them people will recognize him as a young GOAT.

"There's no way I can do a 15 hour day on set and come back and write a verse.  I can't.  I can only work on the music in between the show, which I do carve out time to do," he told Gillie Da Kid. "And I can tell you what I wrote musically as a rapper in between seasons two and three, in those six months, was more fruitful than what I did the first five years after my first album.  It kills me inside because when I say things like a feel like I'm one of the best rappers alive -- I got some evidence online -- but I don't think I really have the body of work on line to have people be like 'yeah, really, I agree.'  But I know if I brought you to me studio you'd hear it and you'd be like, 'I see why you feel that way.'"
