More Bad Luck For YSL: Member Stabs Inmate In Jail
February 03, 2023
YSL member, Christian Eppinger is accused of stabbing an inmate at the Fulton County Jail. The incident occurs during the group’s RICO trial. Eppinger also faces charges that stem from shooting an officer.
One of the defendants in the
YSL RICO trial is facing new charges. Christian Eppinger is accused of stabbing an inmate inside the Fulton County Jail in Georgia, according to a
FOX 5 Atlanta report.
Eppinger was seen stabbing a fellow inmate by a detention officer on Jan. 31. The victim was stabbed in the upper left chest by a handmade “shank” weapon.
After the stabbing, Fulton County Jail was on lockdown, and Eppinger’s stab victim was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Eppinger was also charged with shooting an Atlanta police officer while being arrested.
Since being indicted, many incidents involving YSL have taken place. First, Atlanta rap star
Young Thug was hit with
street racing charges. Thug was also involved in an
attempted drug deal in court last month when a YSL defendant attempted to hand him a percocet while in court.
In May 2022, fellow YSL member
Gunna was also
accused of smuggling drugs in jail.
The “Pushin’ P” rapper was later denied bond but
was released last December on a plea deal.
While awaiting the trial, Atlanta District Attorney Fani Willis said in a press conference that she would consider using Young Thug’s
rap lyrics for the trial.
Thugger was also
denied bond three times. However, it was announced evidence from his home would not be used in court. In addition, Young Thug, Gunna, and Philadelphia rapper
Lil Uzi Vert were sued for
allegedly stealing a sample of the 2020 song “Strawberry Peels” on Lil Uzi’s album,
Eternal Atake.
