Yes, our “Little Mermaid” Halle Bailey is counting down to her May Disney movie debut. While we wait, fans can catch Halle on the cover of V magazine or cop some new “Little Mermaid” merch, including T-shirts and a 7-doll pack of Halle’s character as Ariel with her mermaid sisters.

Coi Leray x DaniLeigh Drop New Singles



Fresh off a misunderstanding with Latto, Coi Leray’s stock remains up and stuck as she continues bringing heat to these streets. The rapper recently dropped the catchy “My Body,” perfect to rock while prepping to hit the clubs. Meanwhile, DaniLeigh fans are feeling her new single, “Tasty.” The track is fun and flirty – perfect for the warmer months ahead.



Latto Doing Overtime



Latto has been keeping busy, featuring in TiaCorinne’s latest music video for the “FreakyT” remix, which is inspired by the classic 90s movie, “B.A.P.S.” The rapper also dropped her own music video for “Put It On Da Floor,” and fans are raving about her fierce energy and killer flow. Did we mention she just tapped Teyana Taylor as her creative director?



Rihanna Is The Voice Of Smurfette



Soon-to-be mom of two, beauty, style, and music mogul Rihanna is all in for the children, taking on a new role as the adorable Smurfette in the upcoming live-action hybrid feature from Paramount Animation, The Smurfs Movie. She will star, write and record original songs and produce the upcoming project.  Needless to say, fans are hype for more Riri. The film is set to hit theaters on February 14, 2025.

Mary J. Blige Is Making Movies Now



Mary J. Blige is getting all the bags, adding executive producer to her repertoire with the announcement of two Lifetime movies based on her hit songs “Real Love” and “Strength of a Woman” under her production company, Blue Butterfly. The two new series are set to premiere on Saturdays, beginning June 10 at 8 pm. 

Cardi B’s Walmart Commercial



Cardi B keeps proving she’s mainstream bankable, teaming up with Walmart for Mother’s Day for the retailer’s “Mother of All Savings Memberships” campaign. The retail giant will give away up to 20,000 free one-year Walmart+ memberships to new mothers, totaling around $2 million in value. It’s great to see Cardi, mom of Kulture and Wave, rep for moms in the culture.



“Rap Princess” Ice Spice, along with PinkPantheress, Nessa Barett, and RAYE, are modeling the new SKIMS line, according to a recent Twitter post by the slimwear boss, Kim Kardashian.

Who the f*ck is Scar Lip??  The rising rap phenom is repping for NYC with a gritty, no-holds-barred flow reminiscent of 90s New York icons like DMX and Onyx. Scar Lip’s breakout single, “This Is New York”, is burning up The BX and capturing the essence of the city’s vibrant hip-hop culture. And she’s garnered attention from fans and cosigns from industry insiders alike including Jadakiss and 50 Cent. With the new single blazing, we can’t wait to see what she brings with her debut album, set to be released later this year.



Lola Brooke Says ‘Just Relax’



NYC continues its winning streak (Let’s go Knicks!) with the unveiling of Lola Brooke’s follow-up single “Just Relax.” The new single from the Brooklyn-born rapper is a dynamic flip of one of Hip Hop’s most revered classic tracks, “The Choice Is Yours” by Black Sheep, and is met with an accompanying music video (featuring Dres) directed by Shanghaii.
